Chalk it up…
We got this frame a year or so ago for a steal. I wanted it for a painting, but when I took it to the frame shop it was too warped to use. (Maybe it wasn’t such a steal after all.) But, I loved its little warped ways and couldn’t get rid of it.
I was cleaning out the office this weekend and came across it. Being the procrastinator, ahem, multitasker that I am, I decided to get a little crafty. First, I picked a spot and then headed to the hardware store for supplies. Well, technically, I didn’t go to the hardware store but whatever.
Next, I measured the frame and taped off the area to be painted. Hold up, what? Painted? Settle down. You’ll see in a minute…
Now the paint. First coat, wait three hours. Second coat, wait three days.
Three days is a long time. And now the finished product…
So what do you think? You likey? On second thought, don’t tell me unless you do. I am super sensitive when it comes to warpy framed chalk boards.
Love it. What a great idea!
Dude! I love this! How well does it wipe off???
I love the chalk board idea…I may have to make one….
